The Kite Made Him

“Don’t make me do it again,” Lorne says as he stands beneath the kite, and he says “I didn’t want to, last night,” which is not true. He felt forced last night, but also suddenly he wanted to do it, when the chance was in front of him.

The kite nods. It nods, it knows. It swings in the tree. It just knows.

Well well well, this awful little story is being pulled for a big rewrite, and then maybe to go out on submission. Check back later to see if it’s here. Who knows! In the meantime, enjoy the sinister art . .

Thoughts on short stories, space to comment, and Hop-Frog all here.
